don't worry, I've got you 😘

Looking for some last-minute gifts?

I've got you!

I want to start by saying that being present, quality time spent together, and experiences (even the simplest ones) are all the BEST kinds of gifts.

But sometimes giving physical gifts is nice, too.

And when I go that route, I'm all about practical gifts that people will actually use. (Not just things that will sit around collecting dust or end up in a drawer.)

Some of my go-to gifts are food items:

Fancy tea or local coffee beans + a mug, artisan hot sauce, craft-made vanilla paste, fun chocolate bar... you get the picture!

My other favorite type of gift to give is something that will help them adventure!

REI Co-op is having a Last-Minute Sale right now and it goes through next Monday (12/22). And there are some seriously good deals you can still get (it's not too late!).

I made a list of my favorite items that are on sale right now, which you can find here!

Also, we worked with REI Co-op on an ad campaign for this sale and created what I think is one of our best videos yet!

Didn't Ben crush it in this video?!

(FYI this email is not part of the ad, I just genuinely think it's a great sale and wanted to share some of my top picks)

A few of my favorite items that are still on sale:

How we're spending the holidays

The last couple of weeks, we've been soaking up all the Christmassy things we can!

Our daughter, Juniper, just turned 4 and is OBSESSED with all things Christmas this year.

It is so fun to see the magic come alive for her, so we're leaning into it as much as we can!

  • we've been watching our favorite childhood Christmas movies with dinner (& no guilt about screens with dinner!)
  • decorated a gingerbread house (if you need a good one, the kit from Trader Joe's was good!)
  • booked a last-minute cozy cabin stay (at this spot) where we packed all our own groceries so we could spend all day in our pajamas
  • driving around town, looking for Christmas lights

It has been so much fun, but I've also been working on being okay with not being able to do it all.

We haven't gotten any snow here in Bend, Oregon yet, which is has been quite the buzz kill leading up to the holidays (especially for people who love winter, like us!).

Our local ski resort has even had to delay opening day due to lack of snow, which is unusual for this time of year!

But we won't be without snow much longer because we're headed off to Minnesota this morning to visit family for the holidays!

Are you traveling too?

Fingers crossed that our travel day is both quick and uneventful 🀞🏼

We hope you are finding some peace and joy this holiday season!

Wander on,

What if the hard part was already done?

All you have to do is pack your bags!
