Tomorrow will mark 3 weeks since Ben's surgery, and overall he's doing really well.
Late last week, he had a bit of a setback and we had to go back in to get some things looked at, but now he's *mostly* back to feeling like himself.
He still has several months of healing and recovery ahead, but we're really hopeful that the worst of it is past.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to check in and send well wishes. It really, truly means a lot to us ❤️
In today's email, we have 2 MAJOR deals we wanted to share:
REI (outdoor gear): Today is the LAST day of REI's annual sale, and we've rounded up our top picks (up to 40% off!) to make things easy for you!
This tool is a GAME-CHANGER for finding flight deals and business class seats. If you want to start booking flights with points in 2025 (& fly first class!), jump down and read more (it's $50 off right now!).
Last chance for REI deals
Just a reminder that the REI annual Winter Saleends TODAY. (Don't wait until Black Friday thinking you can still score the same deals, because they'll be back to full price.)
👉🏼 If I had to choose one deal, it would be this down jacket (40% off through today!) that's an absolute STEAL for the quality.
🔥 I got these winter boots (25% off!) last season and they are so comfy & warm (with amazing grip) that they put my old boots to shame.
⛺️ I know it's not the season, but this backpacking tent has a cult following and is an amazing deal right now (30% off). We recently bought it for next summer because we'll have another human with us (🤰🏻) and need something a little bigger for the FOUR of us!
How to fly Business Class (for cheap!) in 2025
It has long been our dream to fly business class over an ocean.
We've been lucky a few times to get upgraded with Delta, but those were only domestic flights.
Sooo in 2025, it's our goal to fly at least once in business class over an ocean (any ocean will do... 🤭). Putting it out into the universe now so that we can *hopefully* make it happen!
For as often as we fly, we should have been doing this for a long time now, but we just didn't have the right tools.
Until now...
Daily Drop Pro is a flight deal alert newsletter and an airline points search tool all rolled up into one. And they just released some insanely cool features I'm so excited about...
⭐️ For Black Friday they have discounted the annual membership to $99 (originally $149)!
Personal experience: Over the years, we've signed up for about 6 different flight deal programs and several booking platforms. So we've seen them all. I've got to say that the brand new features of Daily Drop Pro blows them all out of water.
Let's break down what it includes...
a) Flight deal alerts
To start out, you can sign up for their flight alerts which send you an email every time the trip you want drops in price.
Here's an example of a recent email I got:
That $999 for round-trip BUSINESS CLASS seats! I wish I had this feature set up when we were planning our Norway trip because we paid basically that much for economy seats to Oslo this past September 🤦♂️🤦♀️
If you're not looking for business class and you just want to find a good 'o fashion deal, I frequently get deals like this:
round trip economy USA to Europe for $300-$400 (usually $700-$800)
round trip alerts from USA to Asia for $700 (usually $1,200)
📣 The annual membership will pretty much pay for itself if you take one flight a year.
If you use points to book (or want to get into it), listen up because this is so cool...
Instead of going to Google Flights to check prices, and then hopping on the airline’s website to see how many points it is, you can see the dollar amount and points all in ONE PLACE on Daily Drop Pro.
Using the points search tool, it will crawl all the points and rewards programs to find you the cheapest deal.
Here's an example:
Let's say you want to travel from Seattle to Paris in mid-May (late spring, before the mad summer rush – dreamy, huh?!).
You plug in your dates and Daily Drop Pro crunches the deals and they find a one-way Virgin Atlantic flight for 13,000 miles + $96.90 in tax/fees.
🤯 That's basically $130 + $96.90 = $226.90 to make it to Europe.
If you plug in this same one-way route in Google Flights, it's $822! 😱
That's $595.10 in savings!
But it keeps getting better...
c) Personalized deals using your credit card points
You can add your credit cards and frequent flyer details to the portal, and it will do all the math-ing for you 🤓
Essentially, this system will take your info into account to display the best possible deal for you using your existing points and miles.
And there's no need to worry about the logistics:
"But how do I transfer and book flights with points?!"
They walk you through, step-by-step, how to book the same deal they just found you.
It's honestly such cool technology. I'm still in awe of these new features because I've never seen one tool that can do all of these things!
There are so many more perks that I just can't show you in one email. If you want to learn more, watch this video that explains all the benefits of the membership.
Ready to save money on flights in 2025?
Head over to your Daily Drop Pro and sign up for their Pro version now to take advantage of the $99 Black Friday deal (originally $149).
Good to know: There is also a free (limited) version in case you just want to get a feel for it.
