- π€ Story time: Our team member, Meaghan, is going to Lisbon in 2026 and just cancelled the hotel she had already booked, rebooked a new (better!) hotel during Booking.com's sale and saved hundreds of dollars. Our non-traditional traditions...
Instead of making turkey and all the fixings just for our little family (like we did last year & regretted after Day 4 of leftovers tbh), we decided to make sushi instead. And now I think having non-traditional Thanksgiving food might just become a new tradition of ours!
Other things we did:
- saw Santa fly into town on a helicopter
- spent a lazy afternoon at a hot spring beside the river
- cut down our own Christmas tree from the forest (with a permit, of course!)
I've honestly been in a bit of a funk lately (for a lot of reasons), but this weekend was just what I needed.
