Over the weekend, we took out our new eBikes and I’ve got to say, I’m so happy I (finally!) convinced Ben to upgrade our bike situation!
The last few years, we’ve barely gotten out on our bikes because let me tell you, biking uphill (even a slight incline) with a child seat attached is NO JOKE.
I found myself making excuses and we’d just drive instead.
I vowed I’d change that this summer, and I am obsessed with our new set up.
We took them out to a new (to us!) trail and had the best family adventure day! I think our girls love the bikes as much as I do!
Psst! If you live in Central Oregon, the trails at La Pine State Park are SO GOOD and way less crowded than a lot of others in the area. Afterwards, hit up Legend Cider!
Wanna know more about our ebike set up?
The last time we looked at eBikes, they were all very expensive, and that was kind of the thing keeping us from getting them all these years. Luckily, now, there are actually quite a few budget options.
We did quite a bit of research and compared the highest-rated budget brands and ultimately landed on Lectric eBikes. We’ll be making a guide that shares more about our decision on how we chose these specific bikes. (If you have any questions on the topic, let me know!)
But for now, here are the links to the exact models we got as well as some accessories we love (like our toddler’s bike seat and ).
How to get a FREE (or discounted) tour this summer
Whether you have a summer trip coming up or you’re sticking around home and looking for some local adventures, I have an idea for you…
Put the destination you’re going to (or your hometown) into the search bar of Airbnb Experiences and see if there are any that sound interesting to you.
Here’s examples of what I mean:
- Eat your way through a city on a food tour led by a local
- Explore on an eBike tour
- Milk a goat on a local farm
- Learn how to make jewelry or pottery
I could go on and on! There are so many options out there.
I mention this because Airbnb Experiences is offering $25 off an Experience booked BEFORE June 30, 2026. In some cases, that can even make the experience totally free!
Example: I recently posted details about a $25 farm tour in Bend, Oregon that I did last month, and if I were to have used this code, I would have gotten the tour for a whopping ZERO DOLLARS. (I booked before this coupon code was available so I didn’t get the deal ☹️ womp womp)
If you want to take advantage of this, here’s all the details:
- Find tour options on Airbnb Experiences
- Use the code SPRING25 at checkout
- Booking must be made on or before June 30, 2026 (the tour itself can take place in the future, but you must book before this date)
- This is only valid for ONE person. If you will be traveling with a friend or partner, they must make a booking on their own Airbnb account in order to also receive the discount.
- Happy traveling!
My Current Obsessions
All the things I’ve been loving lately…
BEN’S NEW FAVORITE PANTS: When Ben finds something he likes, he is unwaveringly loyal to it! So it should come as no surprise that he has 4 pairs of the same pants in different colors. (These, which he still loves, for the record!)
But I finally convinced him to branch out and he got a different brand of pants for the first time in, like, 5 years… and spoiler: he LOVES them. GASP And so do I!
BOOK I KEEP RECOMMENDING: One book I read somewhat recently that I keep recommending to friends is “The Road to Tender Hearts” by Annie Hartnett. If you’re looking for a good summer read that’s darkly comic and heartwarming at the same time, put this one on your list. I truly loved it!
AFFILIATE PLATFORM FOR CREATORS: I have tried to use LTK for making round-ups of my favorite things, but for some reason, it never really clicked with me. Then a few months ago, I started playing around with ShopMy and love it so much more.
(Here's an example where I've rounded up my favorite summer outfits!)
If you’re a creator and want to organize all your affiliate links, I really like this platform. I’m happy to answer any questions about it. Here’s my referral link if you end up joining!
EASY DINNER RECIPE: I made these Chicken Teriyaki Burgers (from one of my favorite food bloggers) last night and they were a hit!
Super simple, I only had to pick up a couple of ingredients from the store because I already had the rest. I paired them with corn on the cob and it was a really simple and yummy dinner!
Wander on,
What if the hard part was already done?
All you have to do is pack your bags!
