We're back! ππΌ
We just spent the last 3 weeks in Europe with our daughters, and it was wonderful (& a little exhausting, if I'm totally honest π
).
π¦π± Albania
Our first stop was Albania, which is a place we've been dreaming of traveling to for years! We got to see some pretty cool spots & we're so excited to share more with you soon.
It was also our 13th wedding anniversary, and we got to spend it in a magical place that is nicknamed the "Thailand of Albania".
π©πͺ Germany
The second stop was Germany.
This was a trip with the German tourism board. They sent us to a region that's not visited by many international tourists. And if you know us, you know hidden gems are kind of our thing!
The region we traveled through is called Thuringia, and some of our highlights include:
- exploring the castle where Martin Luther translated the Bible into German
- hiking through the most lush "dragon gorge" with zero crowds
- walking above the treetops on a canopy walk in a national park
- strolling the city walls of a stunning medieval town that I feel like more people should know about
- exploring the (super underrated) city of Erfurt
We're so excited to share more!
𧳠Things I'm so happy I packed!!
These are just a few of the items we packed that were game changers on this trip ππΌ
- βInflatable toddler bed: We packed this inflatable bed, and our 1.5-year-old loved it. We also got this mini rechargeable air pump that blew up the bed in about a minute!
- βThese travel markers: The caps are connected on a string so you can't lose them, and they worked great for trains and planes.
- βNew favorite travel toy for our girls: Both our 4.5-year-old and our toddler loved playing with these (& I did too!).
- βTiny white noise machine: We've used this for 2 years & it runs for several nights without needing a charge.
- βNew favorite jeans: These are THE best jeans Iβve ever worn. Super comfortable & flattering. And affordable too. It was my most-worn article of clothing on this trip. This is my second pair of them (in a different wash) and I just ordered them in black for fall!
- βAnti-bloat gummies: This may be TMI but I feel like whenever I travel, I'm not as "regular" as at home. Plus, Germany and Albania are both bread-heavy destinations, so I found these debloat gummies helped a lot. They're going to be a staple in my travel bag from now on!

π Our New England Fall Foliage Road Trip Map
Fall is my absolute favorite season. It has always been a dream of mine to road trip through New England for autumn colors, and a few years ago we finally made it happen.
It lived up to everything I imagined and more!
Before we left, I spent months researching. Travel blogs, friends who live there, advice from you all, hours zooming in and out on Google Maps.
I turned it all into a bucket list map of New England with our favorite spots from 4 weeks on the road. Here's what's inside ππΌ
βοΈ Must-see landmarks (yes, even Acadia!)
βοΈ Hidden gems we stumbled upon and loved
βοΈ The best eats, including what to order
βοΈ Which hyped-up spots to skip
βοΈ Our personal photos, tips, and bucket list spots we still want to visit
It opens right in Google Maps, so it's easy to use on the road.
